Craps
Bets and stakes [3/3]
« PLACE », also known as the "Place bet", "Place win" or "Win bet"
There are two types of "Place". "Place" are the winning numbers rolled before 7 : 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10
Winning bets are paid:
7/6 if roll is 6 or 8
7/5 if roll is 5 or 9
9/5 if roll is 4 or 10
Place loses as long as 7 is rolled before: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10
Winning bets are paid:
4/5 if roll is 6 or 8
5/8 if roll is 5 or 9
5/11 if roll is 4 or 10
What makes this bet special is that it's fairly interesting to stake on a Place for all rolls, since the house edge is reduced.
These are bets that can be made at any time during the game and are allowed only once the point has been established.
« BUY BET »

In the case of this bet, the player bets that 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 will be rolled before 7. The corresponding stake zone is the "Buy" field. Winning bets are paid:
6/5 if roll is 6 or 8
3/2 if roll is 5 or 9
2/1 if roll is 4 or 10
A 5% bank commission is charged on the payments.
« LAY »
The "Lay" bet is the opposite of the "Buy" bet. The player bets that 7 will be rolled out before 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. Winning bets are payed:
5/6 if roll is 6 or 8
2/3 if roll is 5 or 9
1/2 if roll is4 or 10
A 5% bank commission is charged on the payments. A pending Lay can be withdrawn.

« 7 »

This bet provide the most significant house edge for the bank, which charges 16,67%, but it is risky for the player.
« 11 »

Odds are 15 times the amount at stake.
« ANY CRAPS »
The player bets that 2,3 or 12 will be rolled at the first roll.
Odds are 7 times the amount at stake.
« HORN »
The player bets that 2, 3, 11 or 12 will be rolled at the first dice roll. Winning bets are paid:
15/1 if roll is 3 or 11
10/1 if roll is 2 or 12
« HARDWAY »
The player bets that the shooter will throw a specific hard way (either 4, 6, 8 or 10), before he throws a seven. A hard way is when both dice show identical values, also known as "doubles", so 2 2 is hard way 4 (for example).
However, if the player rolls 5+1 this will be an « easy 6 ». Winning bets are paid:
7/1 if roll is 4 and 10
9/1 if roll is 6 and 8
If however the player rolls an easy before a hard, he loses his stake. Pending hardways can be withdrawn. These bets can be played in all casinos, whether in line or not. There are more types of bets but they are usually specific to each and every casino.
