European roulette game

It is not very well known how roulette was invented. Several games resembling roulette exist since the creation of the wheel. According to some people, roulette was invented in China and then was imported into Europe. Between 1600 and 1700, games relatively similar to roulette were created and it is only towards the end of the 18th century that roulette, such as we currently know it, was invented.

The Casino of Monte Carlo had it around the mid-1800 years, and it was officially recognized until 1933. It became the symbol of high level casinos, because of the glamour and prestige associated with it.

Presentation

The French or European roulette is played on a gaming table. It is made up of a table, which on one side includes the wheel which turns around an axis located at the center of a great "curved plate” which is called the cylinder and on the other, the gaming carpet. The roulette is formed by thirty-seven squares, numbered from 0 to 36 arranged clockwise. These thirty-seven boxes are black or red, except for the number zero which is green. The bets known as simple chances are located on the two edges of the carpet.

The carpet is formed by board which includes the numbers and location of the bets known as simple. There are four attendants on each table: a table chief, who controls the good flow of all operations, as well as three croupiers: two croupiers who stand at each side of the wheel, and another who stands at the end of the table.
